Lake – By Steve Jensen

Jenson’s abstract rendering of the outline of Washington state’s Lake Stevens speaks to the kinetic possibility of the water as well as the shape of the lake itself. Energetically bursting through a wooden base, “ Lake” appears to gush forth from an unseen source, perhaps a squirting whale spout or and underwater geyser. Commissioned by the Washington State Arts Commission and Lake Stevens High School, this work is both exciting and personal to the region.
