Heart Stone – By Susumu Ikegami

This symbolic portal invites the viewer to explore notions of place and time, its archway suggesting entrance into a new world. Inspired by the Japanese tea ceremony, which requires one to stoop through a small opening to enter the ceremonial room, “Heart Stone” also calls the participant to leave everyday life behind and enter a space where perceptions take on a new set of meanings.
