Here and Now – By Andy Zimmermann
Comprised of a collage of voices, bamboo flutes, engines, and birds chirping, “Here and Now” uses a broad range of sights and sounds to engage the viewer in a particular moment that is both singular and universal. Capturing a somewhat apocalyptic tone, moths, birds, and fireflies’ lights emerge as sunset colors move gradually up through the wire screen, Zimmermann’s work blends projected imagery and mirrors to develop a sense of space and provoke an experience that is truly three-dimensional.
