- Omax Corporation "OMAX
manufactures high precision computer-controlled waterjet and abrasive waterjet
machining equipment. Water and abrasive jets are used to machine virtually any
material including: hardened tool steel, titanium, other metals, ceramics,
glass, and composites. OMAX equipment is designed to complement or replace
existing processes such as milling, laser, wire EDM or fine plasma and allows
for rapid prototyping."
- Aqua-Dyne, Inc. Abrasive Cutting "is a
leading manufacturer of water jetting systems and accessories. These units
typically operate at 10,000 to 20,000 psi ... and as a cutting alternative to
saw blades and laser cutting machines for parts fabrication."

- Precision Hydrojet Ltd. is a Saskatchewan-based company specializing in waterjet cutting and electropolishing. By
using the concept of erosion, waterjet cutting can cleanly and precisely cut any
material known to man. This environmentally friendly technology is perfect for
glass, rubber, metals, plastic, carpet, linoleum, wood and any other material.
It is an excellent tool for the creation of corporate logos, signage,
medallions, knives, architectural needs and even memorials. It is the ideal
technology for accurate stack cutting of thin layers and it creates minimal
waste so you can get maximum usage of your material. We have just expanded
to double the size. We have 2 waterjets one with a 8ft x 12ft capacity and the
other having 5ft x 10ft, both having 3 cutting heads. Great for multiple parts,
and saving you money. I invite you to view our website for more information and
your free quotation. See: Materials and Portfolio.

Waterjet Cutting "Our experience includes work on the following materials;
Glass, Aluminum Alloys, Stainless Steel, Titanium, Inconel, Foam, Phenolic,
Fiberglass, PVC's, ABS, Acrylic, Rubber, Gasket Materials, Fiberglass, Ceramic
and Insulation."
- RCI Waterjet Cutting Services
Inc. RCI's "CNC" (Computer Numeric Controlled) Waterjet cutting system emits
a 50,000 PSI stream of water at the speed of Mach II, achieving its precision
cutting action. The jet incorporates a stream of fine abrasive particles
enabling it to cut hard materials. Thickness of materials cut can range from
0.005" up to 12", with a potential computer controlled tolerance of 0.010".
Waterjet cutting is also dust-free, heat-free and does not generate any toxic
elements. Sculpture Cut with

Laboratory We are studying the Abrasive Water Jet (AWJ) process and are
trying to develop a process capable of precision depth-control. In a
cooperation with the Swedish Ceramic Institute (SCI) we study the erosion
processes active in AWJ cutting of hard ceramics. Waterjet-assisted
machining uses high-pressure technology to assist in conventional metal
cutting. Test have been made where a 360 MPa waterjet were directed into the
tool / chip interface, when cutting steel, titanium, and Inconel. Waterjet
peening Preliminary tests have been made on Almen-strips which indicates
that residual stresses can be introduced in the material close to the surface
when exposed to a 320 MPa waterjet. Christian Öjmertz

- WOMA - Apparatebau
GmbH WOMA designs, manufactures and markets high-pressure
plunger pumps and high-pressure water jetting systems with manually operated or
manipulator-controlled water tools. Units are driven by electric motors or
combustion engines with power rating up to 450 kW, operating pressures up to
2,500 bar, and water flow rates up to 900 l/min. WOMA - Products include pumps, jet cutting, water tools and accessories.
- High-pressure water-jet cutting is a technique with which materials are cut or machined by a jet of water forced from a nozzle at a speed three times that a sound. To achieve this speed, the water has to be raised to a pressure of 400 MPa (4,000 bar) by means of a special pump. For cutting hard materials like stone, glass, steel and non-ferrous metals, an abrasive medium (silica sand) can be added to the water before it strikes the workpiece.
