each of which is about 1000 square feet. See: Residency

- Constance Saltonstall Foundation for the Arts Supporting visual and literary artists in New York State, especially the Finger Lakes Region. The foundation was
established in 1994 according to the wishes of Constance
Saltonstall, a painter and photographer, who asked that after her death her estate be used to benefit the arts.
Since that time, the foundation has established three programs: the Saltonstall
Arts Colony, which provides New York state artists with month-long retreats; the Individual
Artist Grants, providing financial assistance to artists in the Finger Lakes region of New York; and the Comunity
Arts Funds, providing financial assistance to organizations with arts programs in Tompkins County. See: Introduction

- The Skowhegan School of Painting & Sculpture Neither a "school" in the traditional sense nor a "retreat," the program seeks to create the most
stimulating and rigorous environment possible for artistic creation and interaction by providing a concentrated period
of work, created with the critical assistance and camaraderie of a distinguished faculty of Resident and Visiting
Artists. See: Program, Resident
Faculty, Visiting Faculty Contact: mail@skowheganart.org or (212) 529-0505 in New York City.
- Freeform Sculpture Network - Richard, thanks for the service. We are setting up a stone
sculpture workshop and resource in an isolated, former quarrying village in Southern Spain. The workshops will subsidies
the stay of practicing stone sculptors. The stone is excellent - marble, serpentine, limestone, sandstone, granite and
basalt - and the mountain position is beautiful. The project involves local, retired sculptors and quarrymen. Opening
Jan 2001. Contact us for more information. Jon and Annabel Sait - Contact: annjon@packardbell.org
- Bellavista Forest Lodge B&B - I'm a marble sculptor originally from Italy. Trained and worked for several years in Pietrasanta and now residing in South Africa, where I'm also running an Eco-lodge. I have a nice size studio where I would like to get together some sculptors from various parts , mainly USA , and have workshops or simply work in a different environment, a typical African environment new to many artists. I can accommodate up to 15 people and beside work an African safari can be combined on a limited budget. Please let me know if there will be any interests among fellow sculptors. I do import marble from Italy but there is a limited variety of local marble as well.
