• It's Never Too Late by Edna M. Zoulek - Memorial to Manuel Gonzales dedicated This morning, on the peaceful tree-shaded lawn of the Jeff Davis County Courthouse, a bronze memorial to Manuel Gonzales was dedicated and unveiled. Renowned West Texas sculptor and artist, Bill Leftwich, created the impressive bronze statue, depicting S/Sgt. Gonzales in his World War II battle uniform.
