Hawaii - Sculpture Education
- Hawai'i Alliance for Arts
Education, founded in 1980, is the only statewide private non-profit for
the arts that belongs to the national Kennedy Center Alliance for Arts Education
Network, a major program of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts
in Washington DC. We represent 105 organizations and 300 individuals, a combined
statewide membership of over 35,000.

Outstanding facilities include several gas furnaces, a forge, Mig + Tig welding
and plasma arc stations in the welding and foundry area and a complete
wood-working shop. Separate studios for beginning and advanced classes, and
individual studios for graduate students are also available
- Fred Roster, University of Hawaii, Art Department, Sculpture - Professor, received an MA degree from San Jose University and an
MFA degree from the University of Hawaii. He teaches courses at all levels of
the sculpture program. His research explores the human consition in the late

- Mamoru Sato, University of Hawaii, Art Department, Sculpture - Professor, received his MFA from the University of Colorado in
Boulder. He teaches a variety of courses in the Sculpture program. His current
research involves interpretations of our contemporary environment though
