John Payne - About the Sculptor - "I began my career organizing and showing in large Atlanta warehouses during the early 1980's. My work experimented with installations, and it further progressed with large steel stick figures. These usually found their way to the tops of buildings, and on occasion they walked tight- ropes between them. Today my interests have turned to the natural world and its history. The steel dinosaur series is a fascinating look at prehistory when the world was a paradise of natural beauty." Payne Studios, Asheville, NC USA.
