Arts In Maine The Maine Arts Commission: 1996 and Beyond positions the Maine Arts Commission to go well beyond its traditional function as grantmaker to a more active role in developing the arts in the state. The plan's adoption is based on the belief that the Maine Arts Commission can be more effective if it moves away from supporting large numbers of discrete, independent organizations, individuals, and projects on an irregular basis. Instead, it will create synergy by supporting a few high-impact activities for a short time. See: Participating Businesses - Sculpture, Arts Resources, News & Calendar Contact: Contacting Us
