Subway Series

Subway Series – By Roberta Daar

This series of four sculptures create a maze of intertwining lines and shapes that evoke the pulsating rhythms of the New York City Subway System. Bold, directional lines and color coded intervals suggest the various routes that one might explore while traveling the city’s underground passageways. Dynamic and playful, Daar’s “Subway Series” brings into plain view the hubbub of urban life that is usually hidden away below the skyscrapers.
