The tree sculptures mark a change, a rebirth, reaching courageously into the unknown. This monumental step in the artist's life linked an artful past to future potentials after an intervening decade of change. During the conception of Loren's first tree sculpture, she had to decide if she could afford to do artwork. A strong statement within her head, "you can't afford not to", opened the future to a slow growth of courage and confidence, engaging true freedom.

Trees, always reaching diligently light ward, and waving playfully with wind currents, are the great stewards of our planet's clean atmosphere.

Loren's trees are forged from heavy solid steel bars, and can be designed to fit any space requirements. They can be finished with heat-induced color, or left bright silver. The surface can then be clear powder coated, producing a reflective, bright, wet appearance, or sealed with beeswax, which produces a satin/matte sheen. Beach or river rocks are worked into the root system at the base. Serving many purposes, each tree can hold whatever you choose, or simply branch out into your world, creating a welcoming space.
