Jimi - By Candace Knapp

Dedicated to the musical innovations of legendary guitarist Jimi Hendrix, Knapp’s polished wood sculpture reflects the energy, color, and spirit the musician brought to his craft.  For all its verve, “Jimi” is deflated, its mid section pierced with an arrow, alluding to the musician’s untimely death.  Nevertheless, Knapp’s work is a unique tribute to the pioneer of electric guitar.
