Optical Lens Screen

Optical Lens ScreenBy Gordon Huether

“Optical Lens Screen” draws on the tradition of Asian screens while using glass and metal to produce a modern twist on a classical design. The three angled sections of the screen are lined with metal discs that reflect the light and atmosphere of the environment in which the screen is placed. The viewer may also find himself reflected in the screen, instantly called upon to see himself from a new angle. Huether’s screen combines an understanding of ancient décor and modern materials to create a captivating new work.
