Transformers – By Andy Zimmermann

This work uses the transformative power of light, captured here using a unique blend of curved and frosted plexiglass, which serve to backlight the objects in the box. The objects, freshly transformed and barely visible in their new environment, are a series of slotted buildings, comprised of various materials that shift and change as the light plays on their form. More visible, yet nevertheless providing an additional obstruction to the background, are a series of small grass sprouts, transforming themselves as they grow and come to life.
