The Elisabet Ney Museum In 1892, celebrated European sculptress Elisabet Ney built a small neoclassical studio in the remote natural setting of Hyde Park, Austin, Texas. In this studio Ney sculpted the “great men” of frontier Texas, among them life-size figures of Stephen F. Hall of Heroes - The front doors of the Hall of State open into a semi-circular hall that holds six bronze statues of those who helped create the Republic of Texas.  Sculptor Pompeo Coppini shows each hero either in a characteristic stance or at a decisive moment in his life. 

Historic Driving Tour - 80.    On R, Texas Heroes Square, originally Municipal Square. Monument built in 1910 with state funds through efforts of the Gonzales Chapter, Daughters of the Republic of Texas. Sculptor was Pompeo Coppini.

Texas Ranger Hall of Fame and Museum - Jack Hays Statue - A life-size equestrian statue of Hays is being erected on the courthouse lawn at San Marcos. The monument is being created by an exceptionally gifted young Texas sculptor, Jason Scull. An edition of 40 scale models, measuring one-eighth actual size, have been cast to help defray the cost of the project
